We had a silent auction last night to raise money for Casino-Free Philly's new campaign to fight quicksand credit - unlimited lines of credit the casinos give out to keep people gambling. It was a great event! We had over $5,000 worth of items donated, and everyone who bought things got away with great deals. We raised enough money to get the campaign off the ground!
Several people dueled it out, not literally, for great items like a night's stay at a fancy hotel and handmade tea cups.
