Well, Irene came to knock on our door today. It's been pouring for hours, which makes me worried about flooding. However, Max and I just returned from a walk in the hurricane, and although it was rainy and windy, it was remarkably unimpressive. Max keeps saying that a hurricane is only impressive b/c of how long it lasts, since most storms like this last an hour at most and this one will last for nearly 24 hours.

Anyway, it was quite wet on our walk. I think I'm going to settle in to some delicious homemade banana chocolate bread, a glass of wine, and a movie, and hope the roof stops leaking (yes, it's still leaking... ugh!).
