Every year since I was born, my family has exchanged ornaments. And each year, as I put up my Christmas tree, I can remember my family, and friends, and the Christmas's we've shared. Each ornament is special to me - even the plastic pig Sara (my sister) gave me one year because she didn't like me!
Max and I have adopted the tradition. The ornament in focus here is the one Max gave me last night. He got it while we were in Puerto Rico. Somehow, he found time to sneak off and buy it! We decided to exchange ornaments early, since we'll be away from home from essentially Dec 23rd to January 6th, and we wanted time to enjoy the ornaments.
