Today, I spent the day at the Celebrate Africa Festival in Philly. I was tabling for this new group I'm working on getting started in Philly - Philadelphia Global AIDS Watchdogs (GAWD) - and this seemed like the perfect place to recruit new members and generally just get our name out there in the African Immigrant community. Luckily, it turned out to be fun, too! Good food. Dancing. Fun music. Was a good way to spend the day, since Max is out of town visiting his Grandmother. He's such a good guy!
Tomorrow, I'm officially on vacation! Maine first with my sister, then my cousin's wedding, then Puerto Rico with Max. I can't wait!
